Websites with a point of view.

I design and build distinctive websites for small businesses—without the agency layers, mystery pricing or months of meetings.

The first job

Make the business clear.

Shape the offer, hierarchy and language so people understand it without having to work for it.

The useful middle ground

More considered than a template. More sensible than an agency production.

I work directly with small businesses and independent professionals who want something genuinely good—not a generic theme with their logo dropped into it.

The objective is simple: understand the business, make the right decisions and build a site that earns trust and makes the next step obvious.

How I work

Clear from first message to launch.

You speak to the person doing the work. I’ll ask useful questions, explain decisions in normal language and keep the project moving.

  1. Understand the business

What do you do, who needs to understand it and what should they do next? The site starts there—not with a favourite template.

  2. Find the right direction

Structure, content, type, colour, imagery and interaction are shaped around the business and its customers.

  3. Build and refine

I turn the direction into a fast, responsive website and refine it against real content and practical feedback.

  4. Launch without drama

Final checks, hosting, domain connection and a clear handover. No unnecessary technical theatre.

Indicative pricing

Know the neighbourhood before we talk.

The right scope depends on the job, but it shouldn’t be impossible to find out whether we’re broadly in the same ballpark.

Gavin Campbell, independent web designer and developerGavin Campbell / Ireland

Business brain. Technical hands.

A slightly different route into web development.

My background runs through financial services, small-business consultancy, automation, data science and software. The connecting thread is that I like understanding complicated problems and building useful things.

I don’t only think about how a website looks. I think about what the business needs it to do.
