Financial services
A decade around professional organisations, customers, operations, regulated work and details that matter.
Hello, I’m Gavin
I’m an independent web designer and developer based in Longford, Ireland—working with businesses locally, across Ireland and further afield. My route here runs through business, processes, automation, data and software—which turns out to be useful when you’re building websites for actual businesses.
The through-line
A decade around professional organisations, customers, operations, regulated work and details that matter.
Bookkeeping, administration, consultancy and seeing where everyday work becomes unnecessarily difficult.
Understanding how work moves through a business and where a simpler system can make a meaningful difference.
Using technology to reduce repetitive work and turn good processes into dependable ones.
Large datasets, machine-learning models, automated pipelines and professional analysis in the racing industry.
Combining technical capability, commercial understanding and creative decisions in something tangible.
Why that matters
Most business owners do not want a lecture about frameworks. They want someone to understand what they are trying to achieve, communicate clearly, make good decisions and get the work done.
I think about the person arriving on the site. What do they need to understand? What would make them trust this business? What is the useful next step? What genuinely needs to be built—and what can stay simple?
That is where the broader background helps. A website is a piece of design and technology, but it is also part of how a business explains itself, wins trust and turns interest into action.
Originally from Scotland and now living and working in Ireland.
Life outside work includes my partner, our dogs and getting outdoors to explore Ireland and Scotland.
Technology, learning and the satisfaction of making something useful from nothing.
Working together
No account manager and no layers to pass a brief through. You work directly with me from the first conversation to launch.
If something is unnecessary, I’ll say so. If a simpler established service is the right answer, I’ll recommend it.
